Ken Finneran and Stan Blackmer met 25 years ago. These fast friends discovered that they shared a passion for vintage eyewear from a bygone era when everything had style and was built to last.
The challenge became to recreate the most famous vintage eyewear styles from the 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. Their style conscious eyeglass frame collection takes its name form Stan’s fabulous bird; a Macaw everyone knew as Fabulous Fanny.
Today, Fabulous Fanny’s NYC hand finishes all their frames in Italy with a combination of the world’s best materials; including French Monel screws, German stainless-steel hinges, Japanese titanium nose pads and only the finest Italian acetate plastics. Each finished frame is barrel cured for three days to assure the perfect finish.
